Dave Gaiser

Director of Sales

Dave brings more than 30 years of outstanding professional sales and managerial experience to his role as Director of Sales with Wholesale Janitorial Supply.

With proven results in a wide variety of product marketing and sales efforts, Dave’s career has also been highlighted by his success in business strategy and development, operations management, sales personnel training and development, and a deep commitment to exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

“My life’s work—from my days in catering and restaurant management to selling Institutional Foodservice to my experience in marketing and sales—has always been centered around the customer and great customer service.”

Dave began his professional career as the Marketing Manager for Seattle-based Service Paper Company, a job he refers to as the highlight of all his business experience.

“It was an account no other vendor wanted,” he said, “a small four-unit coffee shop called Il Giornale Coffee. I serviced the heck out of them. Then the owner, Howard Schultz (best known as the chairman and CEO of Starbucks), called one day to say he bought his old employer, Starbucks, and needed to change the logo on all the printed items. So I serviced the heck out of them until they grew beyond our capabilities.”

After five years at Service Paper Company, Dave moved on to become the Northwest Branch Manager at local Southland Master Distributors before relocating to Sacramento, CA to become the Sales and Purchasing Manager at Ralph’s and Farber’s, a food service distributing company.

He then took on the role of General Manager for OnmiSource, Inc., a master wholesaler of sanitary maintenance chemical supplies in the Pacific Northwest.

With almost 15 years of experience to his credit, Dave accepted his next venture—with Lagasse, Inc.—a wholly owned subsidiary of United Stationers Inc. Lagasse is one of the nation’s largest wholesale distributors of office supplies, furniture, computer peripherals, JanSan (janitorial and sanitation), foodservice disposables, paper, industrial supplies, safety products, and e-business technology solutions.

In his first year as Northwest Territory Manager, Dave increased sales by 138 percent. As a result, he was promoted to Western Regional Manager where he would become the Sales Manager of the Year. He also spent seven years developing the Southwest territory for the company, amassing more than $12 million in revenue.

During his tenure at Lagasse, Dave also played a key role in developing major accounts as well as hiring and training six territory salespeople.

Most recently, Dave spent just over three years covering the Southwest territory as a sales professional for Saalfeld/Xpedx, a nationwide redistributor of foodservice, industrial supply, medical supply, and JanSan products.

“There is great satisfaction from being able to draw from my past years of work and life experience in order to create a growth and development plan for taking Wholesale Janitorial Supply to the next level,” Dave said. “Our industry and web-based selling is continually evolving and we must adapt and find innovative ways to seek new customers and retain our loyal ones. We have to be well-priced and relevant to our customer’s needs.”

Dave currently lives in sunny Gold Canyon, AZ—at the foothills of the Superstition Mountains—with Corky, his wife of 30 years.
